Announcement

We are excited to announce our acceptance into the Arrowhead Center New Mexico Federal and State Technology (NM FAST) National Science Foundation (NSF) Proposal Lab cohort. This program is a 5-week accelerator that provides guidance towards creating and submitting an NSF SBIR/STTR proposal package. The Proposal Lab provides a guided, structured track of support, from registration to submission. Throughout the 5-week program, participants will receive guidance on areas such as creating actionable Letters of Support, creating a complete proposal package that adheres to NSF requirements, and reviewing your proposal for completeness and adherence to NSF requirements. Each session focuses on an aspect of proposal package development and culminates with a submission to the NSF.

Acceptance into the program is another strategic advancement to our company’s Grant Funding Campaign. The Difference is pursuing grants from various awarding agencies. We started work in February 2023 for an NSF Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I grant. Before we submitted our Project Pitch to the NSF, we attended an SBIR training webinar conducted by the Arrowhead Center. ActivateNM, an entrepreneurial ecosystem within which The Difference is a member, supported the webinar . We applied what we learned in the webinar to prepare a solid pitch, and the NSF accepted it on February 10, 2023.

Following a consultation from the Arrowhead Center, we pursued and obtained participation in a NY Regional I-Corps Program. We believe that our acceptance into Arrowhead Center’s NSF Proposal Lab will help us prepare a stronger grant submission to the NSF and increase our chances of receiving an eventual grant award. We are grateful for the generosity and support that Arrowhead Center has and continues to provide to The Difference.
